What paint correction does

Swirls out

Removes the swirl marks a wash mitt and brush washes leave behind.

Light scratches

Levels out the light scratches and oxidation sitting in the clearcoat.

Showroom shine

Sharp, clean reflections instead of a haze over the color.

Ready to protect

The right base for ceramic coating or film, which then keeps it that way.

Try it

Watch it come back

A real ACP job, before and after. Press the button and the correction runs across the panel, or drag the handle yourself.

Same panel, before and after

The haze on the intake side is thousands of fine scratches scattering light. Once they are levelled out, the reflection has an edge again.

Or drag the handle to compare any part of the panel.

What it can fix

It all happens in the clearcoat

Clearcoat Color coat Primer Swirl marks removed Light scratch removed Deep scratch may need touch-up The dashed line is where polishing levels the surface: just below the defects, and no deeper.

Swirl marks and light scratches sit in the clearcoat. Correction levels the clear down to the bottom of them, so the surface is flat again and reflects cleanly.

A scratch that has cut through the clear into the color cannot be polished out, and may need touch-up paint or refinishing. We check paint thickness first and tell you what is realistic before we start.

How we do it

Four steps, every correction

  1. Swirl marks on a fuel door under inspection lights

    01 Assess

A detailed paint inspection under specialized lighting, and a check of paint thickness.

  2. A red BMW M4 covered in wash foam in the ACP bay

    02 Prepare

A thorough wash and decontamination, so nothing bonded to the paint gets dragged across it.

  3. A BMW fuel door partway through correction
    Missing media

A tech running a machine polisher across a panel under the bay lights.

    03 Correct

Multi-stage machine polishing that removes the defects rather than filling them.

  4. Water beading on the rear glass and trunk of a red BMW M4

    04 Protect

A sealant or ceramic coating goes on, so the finish lasts.

Common questions, answered

Before you book

Will it remove every scratch?
It removes most light to moderate scratches and swirl marks in the clearcoat. Deep scratches through to the color may need touch-up or refinishing, and we tell you that up front.
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 2 days, depending on the condition of the paint and the stage.
How long does it last?
Years, if the car is looked after. A ceramic coating on top helps it last longer.
Is it safe for my paint?
Yes, done professionally. We check paint thickness and condition before polishing, so defects come out without harming the clear.
Correction or polishing?
Polishing adds shine. Correction removes the actual defects by levelling the clearcoat.
How do I keep it looking like this?
Protect it with a ceramic coating or film, hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, and skip automatic brush washes.
